Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Northampton. We are a dynamic church made up of people from all walks of life and from different nations. We love to see new people and are confident that you will feel right at home. Our Sunday mornings begin with welcome and an invitation to join us in celebrating the good news about Jesus Christ. Our worship is vibrant and lively as we lift up His name together. We expect God to meet with us and speak to us.

We are also very active in our local community working alongside other agency. Running our own projects in order to express the love of God in a practical way.

God-centred:
God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit is our first priority in worship, service, devotion, lifestyle and commitment.

Faith-filled:
We are dependent entirely upon God for all our resources, including spiritual gifts, income and leadership.

Service focused:
We delight in serving our communities and each other willingly and enthusiastically as Christ serves us.

Outward-looking:
We share the good news of Jesus Christ as revealed in the Bible. In appropriate and relevant ways, to lead people to a faith expressed in daily living.

Inclusive:
We are a community of people who love, and value each other and those we meet as Christ welcomes us.

We believe in living out our Christian faith as effectively as possible. Making an impact with those who do not know the great news about Jesus Christ.

We believe we should share that good news of Jesus, equip people in their faith journey and see them live their faith out, in the world.

At the church we believe in…

The one true God who lives eternally in three persons—the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

The love, grace and sovereignty of God in creating, sustaining, ruling, redeeming and judging the world.

The divine inspiration and supreme authority of the Old and New Testament Scriptures. Which are the written Word of God—fully trustworthy for faith and conduct.

The dignity of all people, made male and female in God's image to love, be holy and care for creation, Yet corrupted by sin, which incurs divine wrath and judgement.

The incarnation of God’s eternal Son, the Lord Jesus Christ—born of the virgin Mary; truly divine and truly human. Yet without sin.

The atoning sacrifice of Christ on the cross: dying in our place, paying the price of sin and defeating evil. So reconciling us with God.

The bodily resurrection of Christ, the first fruits of our resurrection; his ascension to the Father. Hiis reign and mediation as the only Saviour of the world.

The justification of sinners solely by the grace of God through faith in Christ.

The ministry of God the Holy Spirit, who leads us to repentance, unites us with Christ through new birth. Empowers our discipleship. Enables our witness.

The Church, the body of Christ both local and universal, the priesthood of all believers. Given life by the Spirit and endowed with the Spirit's gifts to worship God. Proclaim the gospel, promoting justice and love.

The personal and visible return of Jesus Christ to fulfil the purposes of God,. Who will raise all people to judgement, bring eternal life to the redeemed. Eternal condemnation to the lost, and establish a new heaven and new earth.
